how much do you pay for home owners insurance in the north babylon area? im getting quotes of $1900 to $2300. this seems expensive. any advice or suggestions would be great. thanks

That does seem high. I believe my policy is about $1,300. Which I think is high, but it's skyrocketed since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Before that it was $650.
And this is with Smallstate

i got a good price from geico. i had to get it done. im closing very soon. i had already finalized before anyone replied. thanks for all the help! by the way i did my auto ins. with them also. what a difference from brooklyn prices!

So...you got a NEW homeowners from Geico in Suffolk County? Because just about 6 weeks ago they told me they were not writing here. Grrr...insurance here is very frustrating!

The last I heard Geico was writing their homeowners insurance with Naragansett Bay Insurance Company. You can find a local independent agent that writes for them. I see you are in Sound Beach. Distance to the water is a problem with many companies.
