I share my house to help get by and make ends meet. I've done this w/ friends and it's worked out fine. I've recently used craigslist to get this housemate in, and he verbally threatened me "to punch me out" and made other abusive comments during a brief conversation we had started. He's stopped paying rent and I would like him out. I live in Nassau Cty. LI, NY can someone advise on who to turn to, or provide any and all feedback on this and the best way to remove this guy? It's become unconfortable to be in the house with him. I've already put a new lock on my bedroom door. etc. etc. HELP!
Dan

Are you the owner of the house or you rent as well? B/c I think only the owner could evict someone.

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

Until he actually hits you, Im afraid your stuck. do you have him on the lease with you? if you dont, you can have him evicted but its a lengthy process and it will cost you some money.

my advice it to let him hit you then have arrested. he wont be allowed in the partment after that because and order of proctection can be issued and he cannot come anywhere near you.
