Is it even operating any more? I went past there a few Saturday's ago and it was dark, and their website calendar hasn't been updated in a year. Live music venues biting the dust everywhere.

L'Amour was in Brooklyn and there was L'Amour East in Queens. Everyone called it lamorz.

I remember everyone calling it that.

Opened as a disco in the late 70's changed over to a rock/metal club in the early 80's.

Loved the free tap beer from 9-11. Don't remember how we made it back to the Island in one piece back then.

I remember it also switching towards the end ...to let me put it politically correct... an "alternative lifestyle" club until it's demise a few years back.
