Is it even operating any more? I went past there a few Saturday's ago and it was dark, and their website calendar hasn't been updated in a year. Live music venues biting the dust everywhere.
L'Amour was in Brooklyn and there was L'Amour East in Queens. Everyone called it lamorz.
I remember everyone calling it that.
Opened as a disco in the late 70's changed over to a rock/metal club in the early 80's.
Loved the free tap beer from 9-11. Don't remember how we made it back to the Island in one piece back then.
I remember it also switching towards the end ...to let me put it politically correct... an "alternative lifestyle" club until it's demise a few years back.
Funny how I mentioned L'amours and I never went there, only heard about it. LOL
