Welcome, Long Island is a wonderful place to raise a family!!! Some things are affected by the holidays, so some stores will be closed, but not all. We have many non Christians here to support shopping on Easter but with the triple whammy of Passover, Easter, and GO Easter, who knows.

7-11 is open 24 hours. Places like CVS will prob be open til about 2 or so. It's not like the bible belt where stuff shuts down bc of church. LI realises theres a whole world of awesome non-practicing ppl too who need their shopping fixes - christmas most stuff shuts down but a good portion of places should be open on Easter.

I've been seeing quite a few signs that my local stores will be closed for Easter. If it's open, it'll most likely be abbreviated hours.

It would be better to come after both the Easter and Passover holidays because schools will be closed. Better to come when you could take a tour.
