We have a BINGO!

Using family and reluctance to consider positions off LI is a huge red flag that she isn't ready to grow up and move forward with her life. She's working only 10 hours (give or take) -- who is laying her bills? Student loans? Clothes? Cell phone? Car? Insurance?

OP - no matter how pretty she may be or how good the sex is, her reluctance to become a responsible adult will grow real old very fast. Find an equal, not a child.

On second thought let's not be too hasty.

My son and fiance are teachers. They moved from Ohio to Denver 7 months ago and she has a part-time teaching job which will become full-time in August. My son substitute teaches 2-3 days a week and already has two interviews for full-time positions. My advice is to seek a position in another area with the goal of returning to LI after a few years. Good luck.

Matt

She went to college and wants to stay here, she was in college when the economy dived to realistic areas...... What did she learn in college ?

Now is the time to take chances at something different and better, not settle to survive here..... and ligirl, id rather be upstate with a life to live than surviving here just because you are close to family.... amazing thought process, depending where upstate there is so much more to life than traffic come home eat bed get up work struggle to survive....
