power outages (Dix Hills, Dix, Hope: medical, areas, island)

Hi can anyone tell me if the power outages, following the snow recently, are all fixed? Phone lines and internet serivces back up? Specifically interested in the Dix Hills area of long island. Thanks, Molly.

Thanks so much...i lost contact with my fiance the day of the snow and havent managed to get in contact since....at least i know for sure the power is all back on now.

Probably the snowstorm that hit two weekends ago...little on long island but a lot in ct,nj and upstate.

Now..lets not drop this here...Molly..if, you couldnt reach your fiancee and he didnt get in touch with you,perhaps there js something else wrong..like he has a medical emergency or he got a new babe

Thanks for that....hes not a "new babe" type of guy, but i certainly rather that than some of the alternatives. I found an email addy for the police dept and mailed them my concerns, so just a waiting game now i guess.

Hope it all works out and he's OK, The storm was not that strong on LI and most area's did not loose power for long if at all.

Connecticut, New Jersey saw the worst of the storm and as of last weekend, a few areas in CT were still without power. Does your fiancé travel for work? If he ended up in one of those areas, it could explain the silence.
