Power outages (Hempstead, Huntington, Westbury: live, train station, station) - Long Island - New York (NY) - City-Data Forum

Anyone seeing power outages today? Very strong winds here in Nassau from the SE, trees in whole motion, gusts seem to be near 50mph. Saw a power outage near Breezy Hill, affecting the area around the Westbury train station as well.
LIPA reports the bulk of the outages are in the Town of North Hempstead.

We lost power last night, but it doesn't take much for us to lose our power. In fact, I was surprised we didn't lose it sooner. We're located in Huntington on the Centerport/Greenlawn border.

I live on BH and we didnt lose any power. Driving in that rain on Northern State Parkway was terrible.

Well the power was out at the train station and the signals between Old Country and Post +Maple were all out. Guess it was localized to Post ave. Alot of branches all over the place though, quite a storm, and the scary thing is it wasn't even a hurricane!

We had a quick flicker yesterday evening around 10:00. But nothing too substantial.
