Has anyone sent their children to Amityville kindergarten? We live in the Villiage part of Amityville and the idea of paying a ton of money for kindergarten kills me. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything or had any experiences there. We are only going to be here a one more year, so it would only be kindergarten. Thanks!

We did, but it was many years ago. All the kids were still very cute in Kindergarten 17 years ago, probably still are, but who knows?

You will be fine. The people I know who chose private school didnt do it till 5-6th grades.(2 kids) Then for their 3rd kid they left him in public school and he still went on to college. A good student begins at home.

How dare you say that!!!!!!!!!!!....a good student is the product of Long Island's wonderful EDUUUUUUUUUCAATORS....and lots of money tossed down the drain so little Suzie has afterschool dance...and, how could a student do well, if it werent for teacher's pensions...after all, the student would worry all day how his teacher could fund his own retirement and the student wouldnt learn.

Amityville is one of those many villages and hamlets on Long Island where the majority of places with the community name as part of their mailing address are not in the village: places that have an "Amityville, NY 11701" mailing address that are not in the Village of Amityville are in the Hamlet of Copiague, the Hamlet of North Lindenhurst and the Hamlet of North Amityville in the Town of Babylon and in the Hamlet of East Massapequa in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County.
