Even better. It's any size, any crust, any number of toppings.

As far as locals pizza joints go, I've been several times to Mama Luigi's, on Tropicana near Grand Canyon, west of the 215 Beltway. Very friendly and competent staff, good food, reasonable prices.

Papa Johns $10 for any large pizza, much better deal than Pizza Hut.

When we visited Las Vegas last year, my landlady asked us to check out her cousin's pizzerias. They were originally from Long Island, NY where they had a few pizza places and are transplants to Las Vegas.
It wasn't exactly like NY pizza but we enjoyed it .

Anthony and Mario's Broadway Pizzeria

I have read good things about Settebello's Pizza and Lino's pizza. We have not tried them in person though.

Serious question: Why do you believe the Papa John's $10 for any large pizza is a "much better deal" than Pizza Hut's $10 for any pizza?

Really. Papa John's is my last choice.

The OP lives near UNLV and wants someplace near there. Pizza Hut is everywhere, and is consistent. I find mom and pops aren't.

If someone picks Papa John's over Pizza Hut, I'd say they are not that fussy of an eatter. Just in the cheese alone, you have PappaJohns using low fat/part skim mozzarella cheese which, after melting, is similar to warm vasaline that has been spread on tomato paste, versus Pizza Hut, whole milk mozzarella that when melted is like rich taffy.

I honestly think pizza huts sauce is disgusting it's sweet, ick. I think Little Caesars $5 pizza tastes better if I'm going to order chain pizza.

That's actually only about a mile from my house. Although I haven't been there yet, my RE agent raves about the place and says it's her favorite pizza joint.

(BTW, it is south of Flamingo not north, about equi-distant between Trop & Flamingo.)

Another place nearby (about 2 miles) that I need to try. It's a good thing that I took early retirement 'cause it's gonna take quite awhile to visit all the good restaurants in the area!
