About the only thing the clerk wants to know is if you plead guilty or not guilty. If guilty suck it up and pay the fine. If not guilty you'll be telling your story to a judge at a later date. You won't get off on the driving the wrong way because you were, but you might beat the insurance thing. They used to lower your fine almost automatically if you showed up in court, but I think they are stricter nowadays. You can also pay the fine and ask for traffic school which will keep it off your record and your insurance company will never know.

they are no longer lowering fines. some say its the economy (decreased tax revenue from declining property values, etc), some say its just time for the courts to be tough... take your pick.

essentially, you'll have to pay a fine regardless. you may be able to set up a payment plan, but i'm not sure how you would go about doing that.

your best bet is to go in early and talk with them. no job means you have the time to do this.

in the end, you are guilty of an infraction, so you might as well get "getting off without a fine" out of your head.

Today I went to the ticket buster. That's place is totally a rip off. I went to court today and they told me I need to pay 380 with taking off the points. I talked to ticket buster they said it would end up to be more than 380 with taking off the points. Why do I need them? The only good thing for them is you don't need to wait in line to pay your ticket. As long as I know, ticket buster is a joke.

they get the violation reduced (not the fine)... if you are looking for a job here and it has anything and i mean anything to do with driving, if you have infractions, don't even bother applying for the job.. 0 infractions is HUGE here.. with ticketbusters or the other guys, they can get this reduced to a parking ticket.. but since you have an insurance issue, i think you have a problem

thx for telling me. However, you can reduced to a parking ticket by yourself. ticketbusters is going the court for you. That's mean you don't need to go to the court by yourself. If you wanna save time, go for ticketbusters. Otherwise, go to the court by yourself.

Nope...they will reduce the charge to a parking violation at the window...you just pay a little more. The whole thing done by the ticket guys is available to anyone. Just show up and ask.

If you present proof of insurance to the court showing you had insurance at the time of the event, they will dismiss that charge. As far as the ticket, you had better pay it.
