But people bring 'em anyway. I stayed at Bellagio a bunch of years back. This is when Wynn still owned it. He made a big deal of trying to make the place kid unfriendly, to discourage adults from bringing them.

When I want down to the pool, what did I find? That it was overrun by kids. I guess the parents didn't get the hint.

The card slapper thing could be cured fairly easily. Require the slappers to have signs identifying the company the hires them. Then the state DOL could require those companies to use e-verify to confirm that their employees have a legal right to work here. Inspect often, and have big fines for violators.

The problem is and has always been that any attempt to ban based on content will be contested and thrown out as a first amendment violation.

Attempts to use everify go no where. Resisted strongly by NV employers and easily avoided by sub contracting. Any attempt to do it strip only will be strongly resisted and likely thrown out on unequal justice base.

It would be rather simple to simply ban all commercial paper on the strip but the Casinos don't want that.

They are a nuclear mutation from the early days. They crawled out of the sewer system.

Probably just for them, but I'd bet his head would explode if someone tried to take away his right ( free speech) to protest.

I don't know if he was telling me the truth, but a young man stopped me on the strip desperate to find his sister. She was on one of those cards. Seemed like he should just call the number but anyway he seemed to think something like that happened. Was asking everyone if they'd ever seen her.

So.. Noone in Vegas should have kids? A woman gets pregnant she has to leave the city?

There's places kids shouldn't be.. And, certainly, if seeing a pair of boobs is going to cause the kids' head to explode (or yours).. You're right.. Probably shouldn't bring them.

I came into town with a 13 year old last summer.. We had no problems with the card slappers. They didn't try to give him cards.. MAYBE 1 or 2 tried to give a card to me.. Simply put up a hand, shook my head.. They left me alone.

I think we were both most disturbed by seeing a grown man in one of those baby masks and a diaper on Fremont. We might both still be scarred from seeing that.

I think we're talking about (or at least I am), kids staying at major strip casino/resorts.

Out in the valley , it's familyland like any other suburban ring.
