Which zip codes of Henderson is it that have the great views of Vegas when you are coming in from the Hoover Dam area? Or is that pretty much all of Henderson?

Depends on the street location. Off Racetrack where the streets are named after foreign cities (zoned equestrian) the homes are nice and the properties are larger. I also like the lack of HOA's (but that's just me). Going farther up to Equestrian you see some very big and nice homes. Now if you are close to Lake Mead then you get into some umm less than positive places. Also off Major and Center you get some not so elegant residences. On Warm Springs and Pueblo there are two new developments that appear nice.

There is a new senior center and aquatic center going up (should open beginning of next year) on Race Track and Burkholder along with a 40 acre park there. And there is a development very close to the center that pre installs solar panels that are very energy saving (I think it's called Concord).

You just have put sneakers on the ground in 89015 to find the good stuff.

olecapt, I have read some of your other posts and you seem to be very knowledgeable about Las Vegas and the surrounding cities. I've spent a lot time on the internet trying to find out where the good areas are located. Do you have any info on two new build communities in North Las Vegas; Shadow Brook on Mallard Ridge Ave. zip 89081 an Richmond American at West Wind on Trailing Sage zip 89085?

I would focus on 89052, maybe 89074, 89012.

For west Henderson and also nice areas, 89123 and 89183.

Westwind is right near Shadow Ridge High School and should be fine. Shadow Brook is in the triangle made by 215 and 15. I would look carefully at the schools in that area.

Note that both areas have large populations of resale home with very good pricing.
