So never get emotionally attached to anything and just deal with life as it comes. Do what you have to do or what you think is best.
Totally agree. This is something we should all keep in mind.

So, we shouldn't own homes. The homeless are obviously wise mystics. Like this guy:

That might not be how you feel. But the post sure reads that way.
I don't think he's proud, just relieved.

I'm not in a position to do it (tiny, old mortgage.) But I've met someone (a RE agent no less) who claims to have successfully done it.

if you are talking about a RE agent, mind sharing with us his/her name? Also, even if you do fight the banks and find out that they don't have the paperwork properly recorded and filed, you still don't own the home outright. They just can't foreclose on you properly. I think this is the case with that woman in FL who has been fighting with the banks for over a decade.

Ditto what NoMoreRJ says.
Also, talk is cheap, if I were to meet one who claimed that, I would ask for an address so I could look it up at the Recorder Office myself.

I think people would be amazed if they knew how many "real estate/mortgage industry" people "buy n' bailed". I know a couple who did it on a Jumbo loan. If you can support the purchase on your income(s) it's just a matter of jumping through the hoops, and as insiders they know how to "grease the skids"...

Mostly nonsense. To buy and bail is simple. You simple need a proper income stream.

Very few RE/mortgage people have that kind of income stream.

The couple I was referring to are 2 of the worst agents I have ever seen in terms of customer satisifaction and they seem to be doing quite well.
