Just got a call from Mirage for a job interview for next week. I think it is the manager from that deparment calling/talking to me directly. I thought the interview process goes like CC -
Employment Center sends the applicant an email for invite to interview.??
Rather I get a call from Mirage directly... Gave me intructions where to go for the interview...where i am supposed to be,there will be phones and i am to pick up and call their ext. number, let them i have an appointment and then they will meet me for the job interview.

For those of you who are working at Mirage....does this process sound about right??
Each department goes by a different process?? The manager now calls the applicant directly??

Hope any of you can help with this questions/concern...

Thanks!

Tamiko, I hope you make it through the 40 shifts. You seem like a very motivated person that any employer would be proud to have on board. Best wishes to you!

Thanks for the help. I do like how The Mirage handles their hiring/interviewing. Glad they/the department called me directly. Good to know I don't have to wait for an email for invite to interview.

Though why the...use/call the house phone, their ext. number, ask for that manager & letting them know you are here for the interview?? Interesting...
It wouldn't be easier to just meet at that department for the interview???
Hmmm...

Will post here again about the interview.

it has to do with union organization. up to the 89th day they can fire ANYONE for ANY reason [even union members] after that they have to stick to the contracts...

It gives an owner the chance to hire...evaluate....then keep the best...and the 90 day rule applies to new properties only....

During normal hiring, the union [or house] probation rules apply....] in our case it's 6 mos probation [which is also the time for benefits to kick in]
