Closed just means not accepting anymore applications.

It really means your application is on file with them. At what stage of the hiring process for the position cannot really be determined from the status indicator. When I applied for CC. I was active and open and I finally received a call for an interview the last week of NOV. The next day I was called in for a job offer that I ended up refusing. It's really dependant on the dept need to to fill the position and how selective they want to be.

None of it is surprising some departments overhired or business in that part of the casino was slower than expected. I work there part time as a dealer so as long as they keep giving me 6-7 days a pay period all is good. Good luck to all.
