Hi everyone,
I just wanted to add to an earlier post I'd written (page 314, #3140) about bartending positions at ARIA and CC positions in general. My friend that I've been following this thread for still has not heard anything, but they told me that they called CC today. Some info here will be repetitive, but it did put my friend is a more positive state. The CC Rep was very nice and not in a rush (maybe they're getting less calls since a percentage of JOs have already gone out
). My friend's status is OPEN,
blank . My friend told the CC Rep that they were interested in applying for other bartending positions within MGM. The CC Rep told my friend
not to withdraw their application . That if the other positions that my friend is going to apply for are bartending also at other MGM properties, the application will automatically be forwarded to the other MGM properties. The CC Rep emphasized that JOs will be going out for at least another ten days from CC. The conversation switched to 'how long should I wait?' That's where the CC Rep said the 'at least ten days' response and the CC Rep said to call anytime and keep checking in. Then the CC Rep started to explain what happens with the hiring. That a lot of internals that have transferred will be changing their minds about transferring and people offered jobs will change their minds, not show up, etc. In other words, not is there still JOs to be made by CC, but a percentage of people that have already accepted JOs will be falling out for one reason or another. Another friend of mine jumped in on the conversation that my bartender friend and I were having and proceeded to tell us about how when Southpoint (then Southcoast) opened, many cocktail waitresses quit and walked off the floor the first night and then many didn't show up the next day. So again, the point being, CC is still calling for
still open positions for at least the next ten days, a percentage of accepted JOs (internal and external) will be falling out, and your application will be forwarded to similar departments of what you applied for at CC to all of the other MGM properties. Just depends how long you want to wait and see what happens, but there is no reason to give up hope at this point in time!

I applied for the exact same position in the same time frame. I also did not have an interviewer who knew anything about bq's or catering. I flew all the way from Michigan and

ive tried calling 10 times each day for the last 2 at all different times and all i get is all circuits are busy. when are you guys calling? ive tried all different times

My friend called around 3:30PM and didn't even have to wait. It went almost right to the CC Rep. Maybe my friend just got lucky

). My friend's status is OPEN, blank. My friend told the CC Rep that they were interested in applying for other bartending positions within MGM. The CC Rep told my friend not to withdraw their application. That if the other positions that my friend is going to apply for are bartending also at other MGM properties, the application will automatically be forwarded to the other MGM properties. The CC Rep emphasized that JOs will be going out for at least another ten days from CC. The conversation switched to 'how long should I wait?' That's where the CC Rep said the 'at least ten days' response and the CC Rep said to call anytime and keep checking in. Then the CC Rep started to explain what happens with the hiring. That a lot of internals that have transferred will be changing their minds about transferring and people offered jobs will change their minds, not show up, etc. In other words, not is there still JOs to be made by CC, but a percentage of people that have already accepted JOs will be falling out for one reason or another. Another friend of mine jumped in on the conversation that my bartender friend and I were having and proceeded to tell us about how when Southpoint (then Southcoast) opened, many cocktail waitresses quit and walked off the floor the first night and then many didn't show up the next day. So again, the point being, CC is still calling for still open positions for at least the next ten days, a percentage of accepted JOs (internal and external) will be falling out, and your application will be forwarded to similar departments of what you applied for at CC to all of the other MGM properties. Just depends how long you want to wait and see what happens, but there is no reason to give up hope at this point in time!
