Thursday nights at Main Street Station are the best. All you can eat Fillet Mignon steak and shrimp scampi, plus the everything else the buffet usually offers for $13.99 a person.

Excalibur is to be avoided at all costs. no wonder they have 2 for one buffets. You get sick b4 you even get up to leave.

I guess I'll admit that the Wynn and some others are a little better, but my favorite buffet, and my vote for "best value" as well, is the Main Street Station.

I like to tell people that the first time I was there I looked at the food selection, and then looked at the "price board," and then wept (for joy) openly, without shame.....

After 12 years of research, 3-4 times a year, with some repeats a year -- my favorite buffets are as follows in order of preferance:

Cream of the Crop, either lunch or dinner:

Bellagio
Wynn
Planet Hollywood/Former Aladdin Spice Market Buffet
Mandalay Bay
Paris
Village Seafood Buffet at RIO

Really good, but not Fantastic:

Cravings at the Mirage
The Buffet at Treasure Island
Carnival Buffet at RIO

Slightly Mediocre, but edible:

The Buffet at Harrah's
MGM Grand (Lunch buffet)

STAY AWAY from:

Phaeroh's Pheast/MORE Buffet at Luxor (sucked 12 years ago, sucks now)
Buffet at the Stratosphere
Excalibur Buffet

Have yet to try:

Bally's buffet
Riviera buffet
Flamingo Buffet
Caesers Palace buffet (can never seem to find it)
Venetian/Palazzo (do they even have buffets? I've always assumed they don't)
Sahara Buffet (scared to try)

Caesar's discontinued their buffet years ago, but I do believe they have a mini-buffet at Cafe Lago, with only about 2 stations I believe, I'm not sure if that mini-buffet is even open anymore, but they also have the Cypress Street Marketplace which is more a food court/cafeteria...

Not all buffets are at the casinos. What about Buffet @ Asia, Cici's Pizza, or any other number of smaller non hotel buffets?
