Looking at the crime map mountains edge has less crime than rhodes ranch area. If you had a chioce between mountains edge and rhodes ranch, which would you choose and why?

Rhodes Ranch is a bit higher end. Mountains Edge is typically more affordable.

Neither are bad areas. You'd be fine with either.

I personally prefer RR.

I would go by the particular house and the particular neighborhood. Rhodes Ranch is probably a little more finished and consistent. Be wary of unfinished areas or unfinished neighborhoods in Mountains Edge. They may be that way a long time.

If you like the neighborhoods and the price go for the less expensive.

Crime difference between the two will be negligible. Mostly nobody used to live in Mt. Edge and that often leads to low crime. As the populations comes up so does the crime.

I lived in Mountain's Edge from 2006-2007.

My outlaws still live in Rhodes.

Rhodes hands down.....the quality of neighbors we had in Mountain's Edge spiralled downwards as the foreclosure frenzy hit.

On our last month, some idiots who just moved in, was going about 75mph inside the subdivision on a motorcycle - and crashed into a garage door of someone else's house.

On our last week, a couple of cop cars were parked in front of another neighbor (who also just moved in)....they were caught for breaking into and vandalizing a foreclosed property on the next block.

Anectdotal? Yes.....but also true.

Side effects of the foreclosure mess. Find it in some neighborhoods in Rhodes Ranch. And you won't find it in some neighborhoods in Mountain's Edge.

I will agree that Mts. Edge was hit worse...but both got it in spots.
