This is for all fellow residents of the Las Vegas/Henderson area. In todays lesson we will discuss the YIELD sign. I know some of you have never noticed these but they have a triangle shape and are red on the outside and are white in the middle and written on the sign is the word "YIELD". Now lets talk about this word "YIELD" what does it mean? What should we do when we come across such a bizarre thing? Well, here is what we do. When we come to a YIELD sign we must slow down and prepare to stop if necessary (usually while merging into traffic on another road).
I hope this clears up any confusion about these signs. For some reason here in L.V. the signs are just not understood. I guess it is not included on the written road test. So when you see one of these signs don't get confused and just ignore it, just slow down and look for other vehicles. If another car is coming then you stop. If the coast is clear then you can go. Pretty cool huh?? Please drive with some empathy. The life you save could be mine..

Your difficulty is that you read "yield" as an imperative. Not in Nevada. Here it is interrogative. There is a question mark after "yield".

It is "are you a real man or are you going to yield?"

Luckily most of us are girlie girls or girlie guys and chicken out.
