e85 is a joke, and it actually not very efficient when it comes to making the stuff from corn. If you want real cheap ethanol fuel, you have to make it from sugar like Brazil does. Brazil doesn't import oil for their fuel needs, they have enough of the Ethanol to support their population. Ironic that the cars used in Brazil are American made cars that get great gas mileage from those Ethanol burning cars and they use higher compression for more power because Ethanol has a higher octane rating than Gasoline. I do not think the climate in the 49 states can grow sugar, but Hawaii sure can.

Is E85 available at stations in Las Vegas? You can't even buy it in western WA, and there are a ton of tree huggers out here. I think you can get it at one of the military bases a few hours drive from Seattle, but that's it.

I heard that cars run like crap on E-85. IMO it was a gimmick to stimulate american farms that eventually backfired. Now corn prices are up, and corn just happens to be main crop used to feed cattle. In turn, those prices are up too.

I saw a station w/ E85 here today, dont remember exactly where, but it had to be on Green Valley or Sunset.

E85 is all you can buy in Iowa or Nebraska. Check out the movie "who killed the electric car".
