I want to move July 28th. What will you be renting your condo out for?

You just dredged up 2009. Probably different owners and the original poster is likely not going to ever see this thread.

Any updates on this place? My aunt is looking to leave La Posada, but wants to stay in the neighborhood.

Isla and the Villlas at Desert Shores are both a downgrade from La Posada. A little better at Mar-a-lago. Much better at The Raquet Club or Red Hills...but also much more expensive. Some of the places in Rock Springs are pretty nice. Particularly the no rental ones if she is buying.

The townhouses up to the east of La Posada are pretty nice. And I think there are some reasonable units across the street behind Vons.

I am curious if this thread about Isla Condominiums in South Shores can be revived eleven years after. The thread is from 2008. I am interested in purchasing a one bedroom unit and curious to hear about the complex. Is it still a quiet, desirable place to live as stated in some of the thread? I will call the HOA office to find out if there is a rental cap.

85% rentals. So not very owner occupied. However it is a condo so it is not likely that it will be tightly managed. I would wander around it a few hours in the evening and on the weekend. Talk to the tenants if you can.

Owner occupied is low enough you may well run into problems financing in there. Recent sales are mostly cash with a few conventional... no FHA or VA.

It is still a nice location. One of the few places in Las Vegas where you can walk to anything. And a reasonably nice looking plant.
