Opps! 'Someone' put the oven racks in backwards and I can't them out.

Anyone ever have this situation? Any remedies or suggestions?

Buy a new oven.

I discovered some manufacturers shipping wiring in my mom's new house's oven. She had been using it for months no problem, but IIRC, the racks were wired to the element.

Maybe heat the oven up significantly and maybe the racks will become a little more pliable to wrestle out.

I've had oven racks put in wrong and have always been able to get them out. You might have to use a bit of cooking oil to lubricate the path and wiggle them out. Wipe the oil off good so it doesn't smoke when you use the oven.

As Movin1 suggested. I would also inspect to make sure some part of the rack is not locked against being removed. Might need a little prying to get it free.

Got 'em out! Thanks for those offering suggestions; no, I didn't need a new oven, but thanks away

This happened to me with an oven we had in another house. It was very frustrating but, like you, I eventually got them out. I thought for sure they were locked in there forever! I just had to keep going back and wiggling them until I got the wiggle just right
