At any rate, it still shows the substantial difference in earnings. 30's and 40's should be prime earning years and you can see that reflected in the Gen-X chart. No "pop" on the millennial chart, though.
x-axis is defined as median cohort age. In 2019 the median millennial was ~32.

Sure, the easiest way to pay for college is to borrow the money but it really isn’t necessary. Just more conditioning that the financial industry promotes.

If you're talking about my question, it's a legit one.

Those in the Boomer generation often bring this response to the table where they could work a part time job at McDonalds and graduate college debt free. Asking them to show the math often makes those that are willing to learn do some research and see that viewpoint is outdated.

You only have to work 50-60 hours per week to do the same thing provided it is the average college expense. Hopefully those people pulling up their bootstraps don't need to have a roof over their heads, eat, need clothing or have any other sort of expenses.
