Resort fees are extra fees added to room fees. They include things like wifi, gym, etc. I am not sure what they are now, but in 2013 Santa Fe and Texas Station was charging $35-$40 per day. I wasn't using anything included in these fees and called to ask if I had to pay the resort fee. Their answer was yes, you don't need to use the extras, but you are required to pay for them. It seems to me that it is a way to increase the fee/night without identifying it as such.

I don't believe resort fees have any relationship to amenities.

Both properties offer more to their guests than the other hotels on the Strip including the Treasure Island. At least they still give free seasonal exhibitions on their properties. Wynn in particular even have decent public art pieces like Koons' Tulips, Okada San Miguel's Smiling King Bear apart from the atrium displays. Same thing with the Palazzo, it has its own atrium with seasonal displays all free for the visitors to enjoy. Hopefully Bellagio which is now owned by the same company as the Cosmopolitan will keep its seasonal display and water show.

I doubt visitors will instantly visit Vegas considering the hotels will pretty much just offer gambling. No shows, no concerts, pool parties may not be even allowed so why would they visit if they can just gamble somewhere in their home state or nearby. Also think of the overhead having a hotel open with very few to no guests at all. They will lose more money than they will make from those very few people who will visit.

That is just economic part of it, how about the health and safety of the people in our state who will be inside these hotels. Are locals going to be tested for Covid19 and antibodies prior to opening the hotels? Locals will be dealing with visitors from all over the United States and eventually the world, who knows about the health status of the visitors, are they sick with Covid19, asymptomatic..... lot of ifs......Goodluck to us all!

Only hardcore gamblers will be playing now, no people looking for fun.

Changes I expect to see:
-At door getting hands sprayed
-insisting on masks
-lower paid employees stationed to wipe down each chair and slot for the next person
-covers or locks on slot handles - Button use only
-one chair apart at slots-at tables one chair empty
-hands sprayed before touching any cards

You get the picture ---the list goes on...plenty more to think up.
