And the RTC bike share is already all over downtown for getting around It's pretty easy to use.LINK

In the city design page one of the city master plan links discusses transportation and they are talking about a light rail to connect Fremont St, Symphony Park Area, The Arts District, and the Medical District. I remember seeing a study on here about how they're going to create walking paths between all of them that also acts as a park like setting in areas with additional dog parks and incorporate more shade along the paths. They're going to put a lot of trees downtown as part of that shading project and some interesting artistic canopy projects to also provide shade.

I also agree the autonomous vehicle is coming soon. Actually the first cars are on the road this year but various versions are still going to be rolling out on roads until 2025. They already rolled out a semi-truck which premiered at Hoover Dam in 2015. That's a whole other topic though that we've discussed at length on here. In Las Vegas they've got Olli scheduled for UNLV campuses. LINK And Navya ran their autonomous bus version in January along Fremont St. LINK

While I root for it Merry Lee much of it does not compute.

I was very impressed with the regeneration of the area when Soho Lofts and then Newport Lofts and then Juhl and Ogden etc.

But let me point out those became viable out of the crash of the original developer. And Juhl has become a viable sales deal only ten years after it was built.

And to a large degree it would appear Tony Hsieh has lost a lot of his shirt. He had a very big shirt so he is not wilped out. But it appears a long way from a success.

I have suffered with the question for a long time...is downtown LV relevant. And unfortunately I think it is not. This is a decentralized city run out of the County mostly and then the municipalities. But basically downtown is not of great import and will not be... the enconomy is run out of Summerlin and Green Valley and Centennial Hills and...etc. It simply is not an eastern city.
