It was 66 today, sun out, nice and warm riding on the local trails up here in Aliante. And I was thinking..."where else in february can one be outside wearing a t-shirt and shorts riding a bike?"
I love the winter's here.

I'm not sure you can have it both ways: working on NV residency, and keeping your vehicle registration back home. I believe that personalized plates are like 75-100 bucks more than regular ones. Check the DMV website to make sure.

UNLV is probably the best place by far for what you want to do. Yes, I'd say that it's definitely worth the out-of-state costs. The opportunities out here are amazing.

For housing, another good place to look is Green Valley. You'd be right by favorite local hotspots, such as The District and Town Square. And most of GV is actually closer to the UNLV campus than Summerlin.

Cheese curds - check out Winder Farms. They're not quite as good as what you'll find back home, but still enjoyable.

I live next to the Wisconsin cheesemen and we go through Lodi meatmarket and everything is cut fresh from steaks to brats to all kinds of cheese. That's what I'm going to miss.
maybe I could workout some shipping with my parents.
I've heard good things about california cheese and beef products.
besides the biggest beef recall in history from the frozen pattys recently.

I have questions about the beef recall tho.....heard on the TV this am that the recall was because the Humane Society said they weren't nice to the cows they were gonna kill for the patties.....

I am ALL for humane treatment of animals....and stiff fines for violaters....BUT....recall the paties????? is this gonna bribg back the cows so we can be nice when we slaughter them????

Kinda like "Humane Execution"......You're gonna KILL EM,,,,,,

I guess they tortured these cows before slaughter...which made them pretty mad...and now the FDA is recalling for mad cow disease!

(You gotta think like a government agency!)
