Sometimes living near family doesn't always work out if everything else isn't what you want.

I doubt OP is going to find the truly "crunchy" place they want in Vegas, that's all.

The pants are made of luon, the primary fabric found in most of Lululemon's performance wear products. Luon, which is trademarked by the Lululemon, is 86 percent nylon and 14 percent Lycra.

Nylon, of course, is a generic designation for a family of synthetic polymers, more specifically aliphatic or semi-aromatic polyamides. Lycra (or Spandex or elastane) is yet another synthetic fiber; it's a polyester-polyurethane copolymer.

Doesn't sound very crunchy compared to a more sustainable fabric such as cotton.
Not to mention Lycra is owned by the Koch Brothers.

Saw this posted on Eater Vegas' facebook page and thought of this thread.

Where To Find Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants in Las Vegas - Eater Vegas

So it's been awhile and sorry if I missed it, but I'm wondering where did the OP move to after all?

As a conservative Midwesterner who survived over 25 years on the Hill, I urge you to remain inside I-495 where you'll be happy and undismayed by reality. And yes,Greenies are nothing if not political. Is it live and let live to to dry up the Central Valley to save a useless fish? Is it live and let live to attempt to rape the American taxpayer to line the pockets of foreign officials with the false fear of global cooling? Oops. that was the lie a few decades back. I meant global warming. Oops. That was bogus. Should have said climate change. Okay, you get the message. Hopeless anyway. I wish you no ill will wherever you set up camp. Just don't pretend your ideas are benign.

Bumping this thread because I am in the same position. I was wondering if anyone had some new insight that could be shared.

Wonder if "Anna Shun" checks into CD once in a while because her posts are particularly helpful.

You'd probably be much happier in Portland.

This is the wrong board to ask, try the vegaslocals Reddit, a lot of leftists on there probably know better exactly where the "crunchy" types fit in.

I posted this almost 3 years ago and it's all still true.
If there's something specific someone is looking for, ask away.

Pick a neighborhood that you want to live in. They're all different and it's a decision mostly independent of your neighbors. We drive everywhere, go anywhere in the valley to get to the 'culture' we each enjoy.

As some have said, downtown is closest to the arts/culture scene.

Hook up with the burner/jam band crowd, and how you find them is through the Las Vegas Jam Band Society.
