I don't own a gun but I also have zero problem with anyone owning one and zero problem with anyone shooting a home invader. If for nothing more than the deterrent effect that may perhaps extend to someone thinking twice about entering my house. My own opinion which of course is not the law is that someone knowingly breaking into a house has immediately given up any and all rights. I've had abysmal luck with police response times for the small number of times I've needed their services.

every time an owner shoots a home invasion specialist, an angel gets his wings.

Would not an inch on his penis be better?

As far as that second home invasion goes, good for her for getting a CCW and a gun. A restraining order (which she had) is useless without one.

Anyone know what happened to the guy who shot through the door at the drunk stranger outside?

Did they ever charge him or tell him that he is clear?

Yes that's the one. I looked on LVRJ for follow up but found none. I was curious if the prosecutor has declined to file.

He violated Jeff Cooper's rule #4 of gun safety.

#1 All guns are always loaded.

#2 Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.

#3 Keep your finger off the trigger until yours sights are on target.

#4 Be sure of your target, what is behind it and around it.

Silence implies consent. Shooting at something that you have not identified is ill advised, dangerous, and irresponsible.
