I was at Torrey Pines beach on Tuesday. I was walking down the beach to where the cliffs are. After a few minutes of walking I see about 15 green cabanas and chaise lounges set up. There are 3 workers in yellow polo shirts and nice shorts raking the sand. There are only 3 teenagers laying on towels near the lounges. Other than that, there are absolutely no people laying there. It looked like when I visit Mexico and they have the cabanas all set up for people. What in the world is this? The only idea I could come up with was possibly a boat coming in would drop people off here. These workers in the yellow shirts would just rake the sand and then stand there guarding the cabanas. Please help me out. What in the world was this?? It was so odd because I don't think that there is a hotel nearby, and they were set up pretty far south of the parking lot.

I don't know. What was so weird about it was that people would have to take quite a walk to get to that area, since the cliffs are directly behind it.
