My health insurance policy was cancelled by my insurer last year because it wasn't Obamacare compliant. It took me months working with Nevada Health Link to acquire a new policy. Every time there was an issue I was on hold for at least an hour and usually considerably longer. The site was barely functional but probably worked better than Healthcare.gov. Now Nevada has announced they are scrapping Nevada Health Link and going to use Healthcare.gov. I wonder how many months it is going to take me to cleanup this mess.

My wife was never able to get through. She then lost her login/password information for the online part, and has been waiting for 3 months for it to be reset. Good times, good times..

Nevada did not perform their due diligence before selecting Xerox. Xerox already had a few failed or failing ACA implementations under their belt BEFORE Nevada selected them.

A good friend of mine was hired to run the call center. They brought her in just a couple of weeks before the go-live date. No employees had been hired for the call center, etc. Total fustercluck.

Try the NV health co-op instead. They were pretty responsive when I contacted them. Better plan options, too.

I did get my health insurance with NHCOOP. Unfortunately, in order to receive subsidies you must purchase the insurance through the exchange. My payments go to the exchange. This was done so the government could maintain control of the process.
