I received a job opportunity near the airport, which if everything works out I would start early April. I have been working with a recruiter. My housing option is open at this time since I am single other than my son coming out to visit or family members. I have been to Vegas numerous times for business or vacation but nothing more. The recruiter suggested the Henderson area in a neighborhood near Greenway Road near the Black Mountain Country Club. I have seen there is a mix of older homes (built in the 1970's and 1980's) through Zillow and very new, all seem to be reasonably priced and a mix of size. Does anyone know much about this area?

Thanks for the help.

Henderson is a city of 250,000. For the airport stay near to 215 or the area north of 215.

You can go from a few million to 100K condos in that area. For fancy to moderate try Green Valley Ranch or Seven Hills. Stay out of Anthem so you don't have to deal with the traffic down the hill.

For less expensive head north down toward Sunset. You can live down there and actually be annoyed by the airport.

Just decide what you are interested in. find it all within 10 miles to the east and south of the airport.

Living in Anthem and working near the airport isn't that bad. I tried 4 different routes and all were pretty close to the same amount of time and if they ever get Democracy to run all the way to I-15 I imagine that will become the best route. I tried Eastern down to 215 to the airport, LVB all the way from The M, 15 to 215 to Sunset and 15 to 215 to LVB to airport and all took pretty close to the same time with Eastern being the longest by about 5-7 mins due to the lights. Most days you are looking at 20-30 min depending on which route you go and if there are any "events" along the way but compared to commuting to LA like I was doing before, the drive from Anthem (Madeira Canyon actually for me) to the Airport area was a breeze.
