Moving into new home soon and trying to find the most cost effective bundle to provide TV, Internet and Telephone.
Any thoughts on Cox, Centurylink, Dish, etc. are appreciated.
(Too bad Verizon FIOS is not available. That service is quite popular back east. I have many friends who love it.)

Cox by far, if only because the internet connection is far superior to the others.

Cox for internet; their TV packages are kind of expensive, but at a minimum once you get Cox you can have all your coaxial outlets wired for TV, with satellite you need 1 receiver for every few TVs.....

As a new subscriber you should be able to get a good deal anywhere, just be cautious of any discounts that drop off after 1 year.

We have the Cox Bundle package. But I will say that with the old phone system I never in my life, ever, had any problem with the home phone until I switched to Cox. And it's not Cox, it's the modem system. Who ever heard of a modem for your telephone with the old style phones system?

And the other companies will admit it too.

We use Cox for internet. It is not 100% reliable, but from my research Cox appeared to be the most reliable. Obviously, for us, reliability was the most important factor in choosing our ISP. As for TV, first think about your viewing habits and what you really want to be able to watch. Then consider whether you even need cable. We switched to an antenna supplemented by online providers like iTunes and Netflix. (There are many others with additional content available). We paid about $300 for a one time fee to have our antenna installed and connected to our 3 TVs. We save $$$$$ because we are no longer buying cable service. The only real compromise in our TV viewing habits is that we have to go out to see some sporting events (but I already did that before; I just do it more often now, and enjoy it in any event) and we lost cable news networks like MSNBC, Fox, CSPAN, and CNN. Overall, however, I was very surprised to see how easy it was to give up living with the cable service that I had been accustumed to having for more than 35 years. We used Mr. Antenna to install and connect the antenna, and were happy with the service.
