If you feel sorry for homeless people, donate to a homeless shelter not to panhandlers.

The beggars do not take advantage of social services because the social services insist on sobriety. Think about that. Their addiction is stronger than their desire for a decent life. Why give them money? Really. Why?

Agreed! Enabling them just keeps them where they are longer!

I think the law forbids them from approaching a car, unless the light is red, and the passenger calls them over. It's a traffic hazard. I recall those silly guys with their windshield wiper schtick. I have a rule to never give $ to any of them. I have seen too many dressed in designer clothes. Some of them are disgusting specimens. Bath ? What's that ? Toofbrush ? Alcoholics Anonymous ? "I don't have a (burp) drinking problem" I did, however, see a sweet lady At Sunset Park thank a man for a bagged sandwich. You would think she had just won the millionaire lottery. I'm not heartless, but there must be a better way to manage people who are having a tough break in life.

I was leaving Baja Fresh with my ex one time and a guy saw that he had his wrapped leftover burrito to go. He asked for it. That's all, just the half eaten burrito, and was grateful. I can usually tell the difference between somebody who is scamming and those who are in need.

If a panhandler was aggressive with me, they'd likely leave the situation in worse case than they approached it. I am from North Las Vegas, after all.

Those woman out there do not deserve to get one penny from anyone...I am raising one of those pan handlers kids...While she makes between 100.00 and 300.00 a day for the bum man she is with so they can drink and drug...Most have the homeless signs are not homeless...they dress for the part I have watched them...The worst are the ones with the wheel chairs that get out of them and walk to the store and get a beer....sad state...I am not saying all but the majority of them are drunks drug addicts who have left thier children for otherss to raise while they party..so next time one of those women ask for money ask them when the last time was they bought their children a dollar hamburger...bet they walk away...
