Takng cabs is fine. Passengers just need to confirm with the cabbie that they won't be ysing the tunnel.

Tourists come here to blow money. It only makes sense for taxi drivers to get in on some of that disposable income. Trying to squeeze as much dinero out of a visitor is the name of the game in this town.

Yes it's wrong, I know, but are the tourists complaining? How many Vegas long haul complaints are out there. Easier to find resort fee, $5 bottle water, night club entrance fee, expensive buffet complaints.

If anything, cab companies should just raise their rates.

I was there last week and took cabs from the airport and back, in both cases it was a short trip and cost about $16. They did not go on a freeway or through a tunnel as has happened in recent years passed.

You got ripped off in Vegas, take out your frustration on your cabbie since he's the last person you are going to talk to before you get to the hotel/airport.

I'll bet that 14 million works out to about $1 or less per each visitor.

I can't see overcharged cab rides as the big money suck in Las Vegas.

The "Resort Fee", otoh, is major ripoff, imo. The hotels let reservations sites
all pretend you're getting a room for 'X' price, and then conveniently add $20 -$25
per day, like it was nothing!

If ya don't want to get overcharged, schlep your bags to the airport yourself........IF you got overcharged it's because you weren't paying attention......

The LV Monorail should be built right up to the airport's doors. There has been talk and plans for this. A lot of the long hauling happens from the airport to the Strip. In fact I am all for the Monorail going from the airport all the way Downtown.
