In J Patrick Coolican's editorial in the paper this morning, entitled Taxicab Companies Are Taking Us All For A Ride, he clearly blames power of the taxi lobby for our not having light rail or some high quality transit to and from the Airport.

Imagine! If the taxi cab companies had this kind of power, long ago, in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco or so many other cities in this country! Try and picture the hundreds of cabs lined up outside JFK or O'Hare!!!

We drove the mob out of Las Vegas years ago, but we forgot one element that's still here!

Seriously. Not having a mass transit system from the airport to the Strip is really mind boggling. Having the Monorail or similar service the airport is such a logical thing to do and to not have it speaks to a negative artificial influence.

When I was there 2 years ago I never felt like i was taken for a ride so to speak (word pun). The drivers where nice and told me about things to check out. The one even told me about buying a deuce pass or whatever it was called to ride the bus that runs up and down the strip.


I dont wanna rent a car cause i tend to be drinking..a lot when casino jumping
