I agree with tijlover.....We live near DI Estates, although not in a mobile. A pocket of niceness over here on the east side. Check the homes for sale in there on Zillow.

I live in DIME I and it's a family park, and you purchase the lot as well. My husband and I are retired and like it fine, but many of the owners don't live here and let renters move in, so there are those challenges. I suggest you consider DIME II. It's a senior park, has very low HOA dues, security, and is a very nice active community. If we hadn't put so much into our current property I'd move over there.

I live in the Las Vegas Jaycee Senior Citizens Mobile Home Community in Spring Valley (Jones & Harmon).

It's a gated community with monthly space rental of $235/mo which includes water, garbage, sewer, and extended basic cable. Residents must be 55+ with a limited annual family income that does not exceed $31,860 with a minimum income of $800 per month. Pets our limited to two per household.

It has a community center with numerous planned activities and 24 hours/day access to the pool and spa.

I purchased a very nice double-wide for under $40,000 so without any monthly mortgage, I'm able to live quite comfortably off of my monthly Social Security income.

Because it's a non-profit limited income community, the monthly rental fee is not likely to increase much. The community is well-kept and the lot sizes are quite large. Most have fenced-in back yards which are great for pets. The residents here seem to take great pride in maintaining their homes. There are a few double and single wides currently available, but they seem to go quickly. The gates are open during the day, so you can drive through and get a good sense of what this community has to offer.

I retired in September, so I've only lived here a few months now, but I just love it. I would highly recommend this community to anyone who meets the age and income qualifications.
