I have checked out a couple of these locations. Some of them for the price of free, you can't beat it.

The best way to get a view of the Strip? Easy: Rent a penthouse suite at a high-rise resort. But if price puts that out of reach, get high with this list — the best million-dollar views of Vegas you can gaze at for free, cheap or the price of a meal.

1) The lounge at the Eastside Cannery isn't open every day. It for some reason turned into a magnet for gangs from LA, and the Cannery only opens it on special occasions.

2) Drive east on Charleston, Sahara or Vegas Valley until you run out of road. Great view up there. Wave in my direction while you're up there.

3) The third floor of the physicians complex at 100 N Green Valley has a phenomenal view of the strip.

4) Binion's Ranch Steakhouse has a great view of the strip. And it looks like something out of a film noir gangster movie.

I also like the view from a road that I've forgotten, but it's heading down toward Anthem.. I posted a photo from that spot on the photo thread.

I like the view from the top of the parking garage at Green Vallet Ranch.
