Hi everyone.
Spent a few hours purging & finding formerly
Lost objects getting ready for my move to
LV.

I WAS wondering about the weather in Vegas
Relative to San Bernardino & riverside CA.

we had triple digits for almost 3 wks straight
Last summer. Everyone was in a bad mood.
If this happens in July it is still no too hot @
Night.

How long is Vegas unbearably hot?

I try to arrange all of my appts in the am
But try to be a hermit July-oct because of
The heat. Really, like stock up on heavy items
Before July, etc.

Tough to carry a case of water @ 105 or more!

Thanks.

About mid April to Sept. The heat is on. Something as you walk outside the first thing to do is cuss. It's hot as a mofo.

Like the XYL says, we have two seasons - Summer and January.

Close. Here it is mid February and spring is sprung.

The Admiral and I are now rooting for the heat. Figure Summer is Easter to Thanksgiving and you will not be far off.

Home Depot, Lowes and Star Nursery already have their spring plants out. That's how short winter is in this town.

Just going with the flow.

The roses are in full leaf. Kind of funny. There are a couple of the last blooms killed in the January freeze among the fresh leaves. So from the last bloom to the new leafs in less than 30 days.

The Irises have also launched and there is a hint of green in the best watered places on the Bermuda lawns.

and remember those temps you see on the news are out at the airport. The temperature you feel on the street in other parts of town can be quite a bit hotter. We lived on the east side (lower part of the valley) where our temperatures were typically 5 to even 10 degrees hotter than the national weather service was reporting.

Not quite, Home Depot still has lousy selection, I was just at the Flamingo/Ft. Apache location earlier this afternoon. I will check Lowes and Star Nursery next!

I think once they bring out the Lantanas then it's official.
