Hi! My parents just moved to Vegas from CT and I was wondering how the campus life/students/overall scene is at UNLV, especially in the summer. I currently go to Emerson College in Boston, but UNLV sounded like a cool change from the east coast summer... any feedback would be awesome!

Thanks!

And there are no mosquitoes or fleas. It's not often that it's 117. The highest normal temp in the summer is 108, with an occasional 112. The humidity is also generally very low. We get an average of 4 inches of rain per year, and some pretty spectacular thunderstorms. It also gets pretty windy here, with gusts up to 50 mph. Some people get used to our summers, some don't. Just be sure to drink plenty of water.
