I'm curious if the locals play myVegas on Facebook. I have been playing myVegas on Facebook for quite some time now. I have enough points for a couple of "O" tickets right now and am working towards the new Cirque show tickets. You can earn points to get free meals, shows, hotel rooms, and attractions. I figure that between myself and my mother, we should be able to see at least 3 shows for free and get a meal or two for free by the time we go on our trip in May. We will also use Total Rewards credits (I am up to $130 right now) from Social Rewards for some other meals. Do locals participate in Social Rewards?

I belong to a group on Facebook to help get coins to play in myVegas. That group is MyVegas Friends and Deals. This group has a thread to share chip shares, so you don't need to clog up your friends list with a lot of strangers to get chips. They have also started to give away gift cards such as Starbucks and Walmart. Sometimes they even have contests to win chips or LPs. This is the link is anyone is interested:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/myvegasdeals/

I have read on MyVegas Friends and Deals that some of the myVegas rewards are not available to locals, but I am not sure which ones. The group administrators are very helpful with any questions and seem to have a good relationship with MGM/myVegas, so they get any questions answered.

Kelly

Hmmm
I HATE playing games on Facebook, always have. I have seen this MyVegas game before and have been tempted to play. I didn't know you could win actual real things like tickets and dinners. My Mom (who does play MyVegas) is celebrating her B-day in June in LV, my Wife and I are meeting her and my Dad there. Maybe I should look into this and see what we can win.
Thanks for the post.

Even worse is when your friends play a game that sends you numerous game request invites.

"Johnny is enjoying the game Sheep Farm, would you like to join him?"

Anyway...

If you are actually winning real prizes, then that may make it worth it. I would like to hear how your trip went after it was said and done.

My trip isn't until May, but I will post back to let everyone know how it went. I always read the Las Vegas forum on here, but never post. I thought the locals might want to know about the game since all of you would be able to use the free rewards more often than I can.

I have my facebook set up so that when I share any coins on myVegas it only goes to my myVegas friends and not the rest of my friends. I have my myVegas friends in a separate friends group.

My husband plays and just joined the group...thanks for posting! I'm not sure how much you can get with the free rewards or what hotels participate but last week we booked our flights for our trip in April and when my husband was going to book our room at Bally's he noticed an email from NYNY Casino offering us two free nights. We normally do most of our gambling at Caesars properties and have never received an offer from any of the M Life hotels. He did call and they gave us the Saturday and Sunday free, then we will head to Bally's for the next three nights free! I knew we would get free nights at Bally's but was really surprised that NYNY gave us the weekend free. Maybe they can track your play on Facebook even if you haven't earned enough through the game?

I'll attest to winning prizes worth $150 from MyVegas for playing for 3 months now. Of course, you should consider that that's less than minimum wage if you calculate all the hourse spent in the game.

Wow! What did you actually get that was worth $150? Have you spent any money on the site by buying points or upgrades?
Anyone else have any examples?
Thank you.

No I haven't paid for anything. So far I have gotten 2 Bellagio lunches, a drink at Luxor's Public House, 2 drinks at Luxor's T&T, 2 carrottop tickets and I have a few more points that I will use for a couple of more items like visiting Minus 5, the secret garden, or maybe get food vouchers.
