Hello - I am looking at transferring to United Health Care in Las Vegas in the spring of 2013. Just wondering what is considered a good salary for Las Vegas. Also, any thoughts on United Health Care. I have found some good reviews on other sites in other states, but would like to know what UHC is like in Nevada.

Well if you are transferring here to take a job on their janitorial crew I suppose a good salary might be $9 per hour. On the other hand if you are transferring here to take a job as their lead neurosurgeon than I would not accept anything less than $500,000. All other jobs probably fall somewhere in between.

The question is absolutely impossible to answer here. It's subjective and has too many variables.

Considering the economic times a good salary is one where the paycheck doesn't bounce.

I think the OP is asking how much she or he would need to live a halfway decent life given the cost of living here.

Unfortunately, that question can't really be answered with the information given. Kids, no kids? Car, debt? etc...

Maybe this link can help you. It calculates how much you'd need to make in one locale to equal your current location.
