Is there anybody out there who lived in Vegas at one time and left for various reasons? Just curious because I lived there for a year before moving back home, got home sick. I am originally from the south where my family still lives.

Why did you move to Vegas in the first place?

Does he? I thought he lost his house here?

I've heard of a number of people that move away and then come back. This place grows on you. Like a fungus.

Ain't that the truth. (Although "It grows on you, like melanoma" is probably closer to my stance.)

Yeah Nick lives here with his wife and kid...Don't know for how long, but he's been here since I think earlier this year. He's got that mansion over by the Springs Preserve, I think.

I moved to Vegas because it is my favorite vacation spot and I fell in love with the city. However once I was living there it was too much and too far from home. I still love the city and maybe I will retire there one day.

^^^^ It's your favorite vacation spot because we're all paid to be nice to you when you're on vacation. It's a bit different when we're off the clock, isn't it?

Most of the people I have run across are very nice. At least as easy to get along with as anywhere else I have lived. It has been easier to get to know the neighbors here and there's always something to do. Now, having said that, I do take the initiative and invite folks over, show up with a six pack and welcome gift when a new person moves in, etc. But on the whole, I think the Las Vegas residents are generally nice given the chance, even when they aren't being paid to pander.

My point is that the Las Vegas visitor experience is vastly different from the Las Vegas resident experience. (And really, it should be.)
