One bit of advise my last trip I went with the cheapest price rental car it was FOX. What they do not tell you is they are not located at the airport rental area. You have to take another bus 3 miles away to get your car. The bus only runs every 1/2 hour. Same for drop off. I cancelled when I got there and other folks were Pissed off too. I took the bus back to the rental car area at the air port went to Alamo had my rental in about 15 minutes and the cost was only a bit more than fox. So be careful with the $$$ you think you are saving. I also got to pick out my car at Alamo from a bunch in the parking garage. Either way they do Tax you to death renting a car.Good Luck Ella.

Really I'd just need it for Sunday Monday and Tuesday. Sat night and Wed morning would be to and from the airport only

Yeah I was looking at them last time I was renting and decided not to when I found out where they are located.

I just did an Orbitz search and I can get Budget, Thrifty, or Dollar for $12 a day. I think I'll just do that. Once you figure in fees it's about $18 a day. I think I'll just book it and forget it. I doubt I'll find a better rate.

Best advice is to rent from OFF the strip/airport/hotels entirely! take a cab to a rental store off the strip.

OR use Hotwire ....sometimes their airport rentals are cheaper than even the off strip rentals...it's a roll of the die!

Just be careful with Hotwire though as their fees are non-refundable and the rental car company has NO obligation to rent you the car if you fail to meet any of their qualifications! They MAY even put a rental hold of around $250-300 on your credit card....which MAY be lifted 7-10 business days AFTER you return the car! READ THE FINE PRINT!

While I have tried the off-airport agencies approach in ABQ, CLE, ORD, SEA, etc. and saved a lot of money in terms of avoiding the higher airport taxes taxes, I have never had much luck in Las Vegas, By the time you factor in the shuttles and other hassles, it has not been worth it.
