Pretty much everywhere. Most of us have a casino within a few miles of our home. Usually with the word "station" or "fiesta" in the title. The "M" out there is a local joint. Boulder highway joints arent too bad either. The strip as well to be honest. Most locals realize the odds are more or less the same on the games no matter how you set the dice or count the cards. We usually go to the ones that offer the best comps or the ones that arent too far away that wife will come get us when we've had one too many.

If I want to win, I go downtown to Binions or go way over to Henderson at Sunset Station.

I suppose I'll be the contrarian here. I don't gamble. The only time I've played ANYTHING in the past 12 months was when I found a dollar on the floor and put it in a Wheel of Fortune machine and won 75 dollars.

That aside, I don't bother. I paid attention in statistics class. The first time I visited Las Vegas (before statistics), I played BJ at MGM and managed to play for almost a full day while scarfing down all the free drinks they brought. I "lost" $100, but drank more than that in free Scotch. The next time I visited Las Vegas (after statistics), I lost a C-Note in roughly five minutes and said, "T'hell with this."

I'm still of the "T'hell with this" mindset.

Win?

Closest to Vegas where you actually have a chance is...

Cliff Castle Casino (Apache Nation)
Camp Verde, AZ.

It's the C-note in five minutes that gets my attention. If you are that much of a loose cannon when gambling then I say you are a very wise man as well - because you don't gamble any more. Hat's off to you.

It's all about the comps. Who will give me the most for the money I lose. The best I've found so far is Stations, Main Street Station, and East Side Cannery.

But I'm a low roller. I lose my $5 and go home.
