Just an intuitive guess, that's all!

Man arrested for practicing unlicensed dentistry | www.foxreno.com

this is aweful advise and do not follow it. A lot of people have died by going under the knife by unlicenced doctors.

In my post, I never advised anyone to take advantage of unlicensed dentists, I was merely commenting on the possibility of that occurring in the Las Vegas Valley, sight unseen. It's not to say that there aren't some competent professional underground dentists out there!

The dentist I've been using in Tijuana for years, went through all the steps to become a licensed dentist in the U.S. For a brief period, he did work as a dentist in San Diego at dental office there, but, for him, it was too stressful, too much paperwork, too many time pressures, and he now only practices at his office in Tijuana.

If he doesn't feel like opening up his office that day, or doesn't want to come in until noon, or he chooses to take a 2 hour lunch break, or close his office at 2pm, he now has that freedom to do so, which he didn't have across the border in the U.S.

I highly recommend the UNLV dental school. I needed extensive dental work done, and they are great. They are very competent, compassionate and caring. There is very little wait, and you are treated with respect. The cost is reasonable, the school is clean, the students are great. Why spend money that you don't have, or go into debt to see a private dentist if they can provide the service.

Why is it so commonly believed that anyone should have to go without dental care or hunt in the sewers to find an underground dentist? Are we really that bad in this city/ country where this is acceptable? Is this Darwinism at its best or what?
