To whomever gave me the reputation comment on this thread ---> *hugs* thanks so much. I AM FOR SURE MAKING THE TRIP. Rain, shine, sleet, snow, bad feelings, good ones, being a woman or whatever--> Im arriving in VEGAS 2012 ALONE yes and READY. I have a checklist of goals and Im going down the list here. Vegas is the next one. Im not stopping until the list is complete in my life. Dont worry, NO one can sway me away from that (except maybe baby Jesus lol *jokes*...& I doubt he has plans on stopping me now. ) Something in me keeps telling me to move. It's been time for me to listen. The idea didnt just come to me yesterday (just a side note). Everyone has opinions....I appreciate them, but I wont take stock in them enough to stop. (Okay. I talk too much lol)

Oh no, not since I was a kid. I'd have to learn how all over again. Why do you ask beyond curiosity?

My internet vision of you is like that girl that plays chess in the other thread. I might be totally wrong, but that's my interpretation.

HE won't stop you, but ask him to ride along with you during your journey cross country alone

And as others have said, a cell phone, a membership to AAA and a dependable vehicle will get you safely here.

Plan well, have some savings to tide you over until you find employment here and a place to reside until you know the lay of the land and where you want to live/work.

My ex sis--in-law did the same as you, back in 2002, drove here from NYC alone and back to NYC within 2 weeks. Always be mindful of your safety first and have things in place if you get into trouble (break down on the road, flat tire, someone who you trust monitoring your progress and who you can "check in" with daily to assure your safety while travelling, etc.).

Best of luck to you!
