hannahranch, it seems you have your heart set on these condo's. So why not rent for awhile there and see if it's a place you want to live long term. If you hate it, then you aren't stuck with it. And you can spend time going around the valley and checking out other neighborhoods and maybe find something better.

Well, after seeing the video, it just looks like any other apartment complex in town. Condo conversions are just apt complexes. Best to skip them altogether and get a place that was built for condo's exclusively, with insulated walls and floors so you do not hear every sound coming from your neighbors unit like you will with a conversion.
