Yeah, but your state income tax is obnoxious at 9%. That is $9000 on 100K. Tough to complain about a $400 reg fee on the car when you aren't paying $9000 in state income tax.

same here, $100k a year would be pretty sweet, money would never be an issue for me as long as i was smart with it

It is $4500 on the US Median Household income of about 50K. Either way it is 9% of your income and that is ridiculous.

But think about a small business owner (say 30-40 employees) that makes $500K. That is $45K to the state... Perhaps if the state didn't take that cut they could hire one more worker and pay then that 45K?
