No doubt. Otherwise, they would not offer it. They rely on most people burning through the free play and then opening their own wallets and purses to spend some real money. However, my wife is not most people, lol. She plays with the casino's money and then cashes out any winnings, regardless how small. She rarely if ever uses her own money. TBH, given her M.O., I don't know why they continue to give her the free play. Today we left Cosmo with a $51 profit, drove down to Wynn, played the $20 free money they gave us, and walked away with another $14.

Tomorrow, between the two of us, we have $50 in free play from South Point, another $20 from Wynn, and then I have my daily $15 from Cosmo. My wife plays both hers and my free play while I usually play poker, although at Cosmo today I just sat with her because they don't have a poker room and I didn't feel like walking over to Aria for a short session.

Is the $100 Cosmo deal valid if I'm already a member of their players club?

Yes it is. I originally had thought that it was just offered on the day you sign up for the Identity card, but I had read on another board that it was good for all members all through the month. When I was at Cosmo yesterday, I went to the Identity desk and confirmed that that information was correct. The only restriction is that it can only be used once during the promo.

Hey, I wish I knew!

We hadn't been to South Point in months and months and then all of a sudden both my wife and I received "junk mail" postcards last week advising us that we could avail ourselves of a total of $320 ($160 ea.) of free play this month. The way it works is that if we show up on a Friday or Saturday we each get $15 free play. By doing so, we then qualify to come back anytime the following Monday-Wednesday for another $25 each. This repeats itself each week throughout the month of July.

As for Cosmo, I had never gambled there at all until I went by about a month ago to sign up for an Identity card and try to lose $100, lol. My wife and I played the slots all afternoon, but ended up winning instead of losing. That was the one and only time we had been to Cosmo until I received an e-mail telling me that I could have a free buffet (worth $35) or $15 in slot play each and every Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thurs throughout July. Interestingly, only I received this offer, not my wife.

Wynn has been sending us monthly e-mails for over a year now granting each of us $10 in free play once every week. Even with that offer, we went over two months without stepping foot in that casino this past spring. Nonetheless, we still keep receiving the e-mails.

Not sure why we get these offers, but I'm not complaining!

When you sign up they are able to access your net worth and if you have deep pockets they will attempt to lure/entice the unwary into the degenerate/chase mode.

They want it all. Your house/car/dog/cat/parakeet...

They gain access to your bank info when you sign up?

In a way...yes. But they do it so you don't even know they're doing it...until it's too late.
