Is Memphis BBQ still open in some locations? I see the one on Rainbow closed.
Holy Cow, I had forgotten about that. I think the last time we ate there was maybe, 1980?

Default Lou's

After reading the posts yesterday decided to check out Lou's. Wish I had known that they closed at 3:00 before I drove there. Oh well, will try again, looked very interesting and bought a pot from the new store there called "yard sale"

This thread must not die. Does anyone else remember taking someone to Macayo's?

Like a Chicago style hot beef? For that you need Windy City Beefs and Dogs. It's on Lake Mead in the NW.

If you're looking for the open-faced Hot Beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and brown gravy; that used to be a staple in all the Hotel Coffee Shops. Jerry's Nugget still has the Turkey version and I have heard that Jackson's Bar at Flamingo and Jones serves a Hot Beef one. They have pretty much gone the way of the 99 cent Breakfast.
